Typical Parapet Detail

It is important to have ribs under flashing just in case water blows under the flashing, this way it will get caught

in between the ribs and settle there.

Will escape when hot also avoids getting the concrete wet.

Newcombe Secondary

General views of the constrcution of the building. Mostly of the roof and of the material being used.

This image shows the way the builders are connecting the different parts of the structure together.

Bolts are being used to connect the posts and the roof beams together.

In the background however, the truss has been connected by welding.

This is the overall view of the building. As you can see limited posts and supports were used in holding the roof up. This is due to the strength of the steel and the type of truss chosen.
Many trusses however have been used continually to support the roof load.

Newcome Secondary

This is a detail of the truss which is being used. The frame work is made out of steel which can span longer distances than wood trusses. The truss being used is like a warren but with vertical supports. The material is also lighter so its easier to work with.
